Warranty and Expectations for Second-Hand and Demo BikesUpdated 4 months ago
All our bikes come with a warranty on the motor, battery, and Bosch components. We take great care to inspect the bikes and deliver them in good condition. However, it is important to understand that second-hand and demo bikes have different expectations than new products. According to the law (Article 7:18 paragraph 2 of the Dutch Civil Code), second-hand products are subject to lower expectations.
For example, it is normal for second-hand and demo bikes to show light signs of use, such as small scratches, caused by previous use or demonstrations. This is part of the nature of these bikes and is not grounds for a warranty claim or complaint.
Wear-and-tear parts are not covered under warranty. This includes tires, brake cables, gear cables, chains, sprockets, and other parts subject to normal use. Issues with these parts are common in bikes, especially after intensive use, and are not considered defects.
